Just a quick pop-up post to remind everyone that the DIY Designer Toy exhibition at Hudson's Hub finishes this weekend (Aug 11) so there's only a few days left to drop in and check out these amazing creations. I'm purposely only showing parts of some of the toys in these photos because they are worth viewing in person and I don't want to spoil it for you! Say Hi to Cristean when you're there...he's super enthusiastic about the exhibition as well as all the other work on display in store & you'll learn all kinds of things about the pieces & contributors.
Outside of the toy exhibition, we were also really intrigued by the corrugated cardboard art work which the above photo does not do justice...you need to see it up close to get what I mean...you can only see the patterns that make up each piece from certain angles, it really is amazing. I was also glad to get a chance to see some of Nena Perrill's Victorian and Steampunk inspired jewellery...so intricate & gorgeous. Also if you're a fan of the TV show Dexter...you need to see the work on the back wall of the store.
I'd never been to Hudson's before, but I have to say I am impressed. There's heaps of quirky fun products & magazines...I'm filing this find away for next time I need gift ideas (possibly even for myself!)...do yourself a favour and stop by. 78 Mitchell Street, Bendigo (03) 4433 1733
